Bye Bye BYE!!!
Fevers are no fun. Especially when the love of your life has one. This was the first time in his 9 months of life that Noah has been sick, let alone had a fever. And I worried and worried and worried some more. (b/c that's what Mamas do)I think as a mom you can just sense when something isn't right with your little one. We had planned to go to a pool party Sunday and well, Noah just wasn't himself. Wouldn't play, wouldn't eat his babyfood, just wanted to nurse and be held. Poor guy. If you are familar with the 80's movie E.T. that's how I felt. Like E.T and Elliot. When one of them felt something the other one felt it just as strong. That was us. But luckily we got the fever down yesterday and Noah extended his vocabulary. Along with MA MA, he kept saying "Bye Bye Bye Bye" and even said "Uh-Oh".I think Bye Bye is quite appropriate for his situation. "Bye Bye Byeee you mean old FEVER!"

Ahead of my Time.
I have been googling hairstyles since I am getting my hair cut today. I guess it's true what they say. Styles have a way of repeating themselves. Take a look.
P.S The reason I had this hair cut was b/c I chopped my hair off myself and that was the best the hairdresser could do. I hid the "evidence" under some pine straw outside. Unfortunately not a well thought out plan on my part.
P.P.S My brother thought I should be called "mushroom head" when he saw it.

"Ma Ma MaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Last night was quite eventful. Noah woke up at midnight (thank you so much front TEETH) and didn't go back to sleep till 1:45. He had a little "accident". Resulted in me and him both needing a change of clothes. Well, that just majorly hurt his feelings. He cried and cried and I gave him to his Daddy so I could change clothes and wash up. Noah started saying "MA..Ma..Maa (sniff, sniff) MAAAAAAAAAAA!" And he buried his face in Matthew neck. Pretty Pitiful. I took him and he wrapped both of his sweet arms around my shoulders. Then Matthew said "What does it feel like to know you are the center of his universe?" Sweet kid. I bought some chamomila teething tablets from the health food store today. Gonna give those babies a try tonight! (thanks Aunt Amy)

Proud Mama
On November 1, 2010 my life changed. I became a mama. I never fully understood the love my parents had for me and my siblings until I laid eyes on my little boy. The whole labor process (and yes I understand now why they call it "labor") was the easiest pain I have ever felt because I did it for Noah. (Well, at the time when those contractions were getting really intense I thought: "Can I do this? Maybe I should have gotten the epidural?!?!") I remember the first thing I said when I saw him. I looked at my husband and said "Matthew, he looks just like you." And we just stared at each other in amazement. They gave him to me right away, even before they cut the cord. It was love at first sight. So even though when I see this picture I see the swelling, the tired eyes and all that.... (and boy do I look like a hoss cake, thanks ALH for that word) It doesn't matter. Because at that moment I was so glad he was mine and we were his mama and daddy. My cup runneth over.

Holy Teeth Batman!
We had an awesome weekend. Noah was a little restless at night because of his two front teeth coming in. Poor guy. I took a picture, but it is blurry because I took it with my phone. We went to Goldsboro on Saturday and let Noah "pick out" a toy. What did he choose? A little kitchen that has a faucet that makes noise, and a stove that plays music. His cousin Ava has one and I think he recognized it. On Sunday we went to check out Aunt Kim's new house and took her and Katie breakfast. He loved it over there. Took a nap for over an hour on their couch. He wanted to get in their pool some kind of bad too. But he settled for sitting on the edge with Katie with their feet hanging over the side of it.

Good Tunes
Noah got a new ride this weekend. He hasn't been able to take it out anywhere, gas prices and all. But he decided it was ok because that coupe has a great stereo system. ;)
